The idea behind this project was to push the boundaries of what we knew was supposedly correct design. My passion for impactful social design continues through this "experimental type" project. Tobacco abuse is a situation that I've been very closely tied to through my deceased grandmother, so it meant a lot that this theme could translate into one of my design projects.

The three parts of the body that are most detrimentally affected by tobacco products are the heart, brain, and lungs. The healthy organs are manipulated into their sickly counterparts, which are both displayed in a small interactive card format. The heart fights plaque buildup caused by tobacco use, the brain experiences a loss of cell activity with long term use of nicotine, and the lungs encounter tar buildup and congestion. These damaging components are what form the word "smoking" within each unique organ.
